Emulsion Polymerisation

Emulsion polymerisation is widely used for ethylene derived unsaturated compounds used to produce aqueous polymer emulsions. The resulting polymers are polyacrylates or polyvinyl acetates combined with a large number of different co-monomers. The additional use of an emulsifier and a water-soluble initiator lead to polymer particles with a diameter between 0.05 and 5 µm.

Celopro® grades with a low viscosity level are recommended.
