Completion, Workover and Stimulation Fluids (Fracturing)
During the fracturing process, the fracturing fluid injected into the well can be divided into pre-fluid, sand-carrying fluid and displacement fluid. The main function of the pre-fluid is to expand the cracks and cool the formation. In the oil and gas layer with higher temperature, it can also play a cooling role; the function of the sand-carrying fluid is to transport a certain concentration of proppant (ceramsite or quartz sand) to the predetermined position in the crack according to the designed concentration; the displacement fluid is to displace the sand-carrying fluid in the ground manifold and wellbore into the crack. Hydroxyethyl cellulose has better salt solubility and is an excellent water-based fracturing fluid.
