Gypsum retarder is mainly used to adjust the setting time of gypsum (especially gypsum-based materials) during the construction process. Its main components are usually some organic or inorganic retarders, which can slow down the hydration reaction of gypsum and prolong its setting time. This regulation is very important in building and decoration construction, especially for occasions that require longer working time, such as large-scale construction, complex mold pouring, etc.
Gypstar® is recommend for gypsum plaster, gypsum bonding compound, gypsum putty, gypsum precast, gypsum filler, gypsum modeling and gypsum based decorative coating.

1. Extend the setting time: delay the initial and final setting time of gypsum, improve construction efficiency, and avoid wasting materials.
2. Improve construction adaptability: stabilize the setting time of gypsum in high temperature or low humidity environment, and achieve smooth construction under various weather conditions.
3. Improve surface quality: extend the operation time, facilitate surface finishing, and obtain a smoother effect.
4. Reduce cracks and deformation: uniform setting and hardening, reduce cracks and deformation problems of gypsum products.
