HEC is the abbreviation of hydroxyethyl cellulose. It is a white or light yellow, odorless, non-toxic fibrous or powdered solid, prepared by etherification of alkaline cellulose and ethylene oxide (or chloroethanol), and is non-ionic soluble cellulose ethers.
Cement based tile adhesive is the largest application of current special dry mortar. This is a mixture of organic or inorganic admixtures such as cement as the main cementitious material. And supplemented with grading aggregates, water retaining agents, early strength agents, and latex powders.
Hydroxyethyl Methyl Cellulose (MHEC) is also named as Methyl Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEMC), used as high efficient water retention agent, stabilizer, adhesives and film-forming agent in kinds of building materials. It is widely used in industrial applications, such as construction, detergent, paint and coating. We can also provide HEMC according to customers requirements. MHEC has different roles in different applications.
Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), as a kind of cellulose ether, has been widely used in the construction industry because of its excellent performance in the construction industry and its small amount of usage.
Carboxy methyl cellulose, is a kind of anion, linear, water-soluble cellulose ether, is a natural cellulose with chloroacetic acid by chemical modification. Its aqueous solution has thickening, film forming, bonding, water retention, emulsion, and suspension, colloid protection function, which can be used as flocculating agent, chelating agent, emulsifier, thickener, water retention agent, sizing agent, film forming materials. It also widely used in food, medicine, electronics, chemicals, plastic, printing, ceramics and other fields.
Cellulose fiber is applied very widely in Construction industry, basically be drymix mortar, tile adhesive, joint filler, self-leveling, block laying adhesive, rendering , waterproof and so on. Cellulose fiber is easy to disperse in mortar material to form three-dimensional space structure, and can absorb 6-8 times of water by weight.
Just as the addition of different ingredients improves the taste one is cooking, hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) enhances the application of latex paints. It is a water-soluble polymer, a non-ionic material that serves as a thickening additive added to the production of latex paints. This tends to improve the overall application and effectiveness of the paint. It also bolsters the stability and durability of latex paints.
Celotech Team has developed and launched a new modified cellulose ether named Celopro® MT2022 for gypsum-based applications especially for self-leveling industry.
Dry mixed mortar, as a new type of building material, has significant advantages in construction.
