Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP) for Self-leveling Compound

Celotech’s Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP) is a specialty polymer additive engineered to optimize the performance of cementitious and anhydrite-based self-leveling compounds, delivering:

✔ Enhanced Flow Characteristics – Helps achieve a typical flow diameter of 250–300 mm (under standard formulation and test conditions, e.g., EN 12706 spread test) while maintaining anti-segregation stability
✔ Superior Flexural Strength – Delivers ≥8 MPa flexural strength (when properly formulated) for long-term crack resistance
✔ Reduced Shrinkage – Contributes to drying shrinkage values <0.05% (based on optimized test formulations, ASTM C596)
✔ Improved Adhesion – Supports ≥1.0 MPa tensile bond strength to concrete and anhydrite-based substrates

Self-Leveling Properties:

  • Achieves self-smoothing with ≤1 mm surface deviation over 2 m (referenced from EN 13813-based criteria)
  • Supports extended working time (30–40 minutes) depending on full formulation
  • Promotes excellent bubble release and surface leveling

Recommended Applications:

  • High-performance floor leveling compounds
  • Rapid-drying self-leveling underlayments
  • Heavy-duty industrial floor systems
  • Underfloor heating compatible levelers

Note: Performance values are based on internal testing using reference formulations under controlled conditions. Results may vary depending on formulation, cement type, water ratio, and ambient temperature. The RDP’s role is supportive and must be evaluated as part of the full system.

Disclaimer: Standards such as EN 13813 or ASTM C596 are cited for general reference only. Celotech RDP is not a final self-leveling product and is not certified under these standards directly. End-users and formulators are responsible for testing and validating compliance of their full systems with applicable regulations and performance requirements.

  • VAc/E Redispersible Polymer Powder for High-Performance Self-Leveling Compounds

VAc/E Redispersible Polymer Powder for High-Performance Self-Leveling Compounds

Vinabond® F519 is a redispersible polymer powder (RDP) based on vinyl acetate–ethylene (VAc/E) copolymer, with a glass transition temperature (Tg) of approximately 0°C. This polymer is specifically designed for self-leveling compounds that require a balanced combination of flexibility, cohesion, and surface strength. Vinabond F519 provides superior flow characteristics and enhances mechanical performance in cementitious self-leveling systems used in residential, commercial, and industrial flooring applications.

    Typical Applications:

    • Cement-based self-leveling floor underlayments

    • Thin-layer smoothing and leveling mortars

    • Subfloor preparation systems for tiles, vinyl, parquet, or carpet

    • Fast-setting repair mortars for surface leveling

Vinabond® F519 offers a well-balanced formulation profile for self-leveling mortars that demand excellent workability, smooth surface finish, dimensional stability, and reliable adhesion. Its Tg of 0°C ensures the right combination of flexibility and mechanical strength, making it an ideal choice for modern flooring systems.
